Good news for all Kitkast viewers… I bought a Panasonic PV-GS250 3CCD Camcorder this weekend.

For you viewers that means: no more lispy voices; better resolution; more filming outside (interviewing people on the street or at conventions); etc.

For I the film-maker that means: digital zoom; widescreen or full screen; optional microphone for interviews; more image control (flipping display panel and remote control recording); less sound editing; less people giving me unwanted advice about sound editing; less editing in general since I can do a lot more directly from the DV Cam to my editing software (instead of having to upload and transfer all files to DV-AVI through Windows Movie Maker first!), and; the ability to take Kitkast to the streets without looking like an unprofessional idiot filming interviews with a digital camera.

I’m really excited about this and I hope that it will solve a lot of the problems I had using a regular old Canon digital camera. The only problem I face now is getting used to the new post-production routine.

I also purchased a brand new tripod that is smoother to use than our old one and stocked up on DV tapes.
