Ebay Pulls the Plug on Porn Company Sale

ebay

The porn company that put itself up for sale on eBay last week has been removed from the site.

On Wednesday afternoon, the eBay entry showed that there had been four bids made for ownership of the company, but one of the bids had been retracted. The explanation for the retraction was that the user was unable to contact the seller. This may have sparked some investigation into the seller since the seller had no reputation for selling on eBay before.

The bidding should have ended on Thursday night, but by Wednesday evening eBay had removed the item from their site. A detailed explanation was not offered on the site.

Thats retarded!!! What these folks at ebay dont like sex. Maybe they have sex and think its a big secret. Or maybe they live in this Russian Gulag (since the 40’s) and still think like they are in (the 40’s).

Keep up the great work Kitka!

It does make me wonder whether or not it was actually a joke. Yeah, eBay can be a bunch of prudes but they have pulled joke items before. Have you heard of the company before? The seller did have no reputation with eBay.

Eh eBay are justified in making sure no porn is seen on their auction sights - there is nothing to stop children and teens viewing such material (though my understanding is they would not like be able to buy it… unless they have a credit card). Capitalism must win, simply take your products to other auction sites. In the UK the EU is ever trying to steal peoples’ money when they have the nerve of selling products on the internet. As making a profit on eBay isn’t easy, looking at other auction sites is a wiser move - there must be many in the US. These sites have a Adult Section where you have to have a credit card etc to browse - something so simple, eBay should do the same. NOTE eBay do not look for “porn-sellers” but rather members of the public report the porn-sellers to eBay; eBay have no system of spotting these sorts of rule-violators and rather they are dependent on ‘complaints’.
