Suicide Girls: Appendix to Kitkast #1.4
Well, I was planning on mentioning this in Kitkast #1.4, but it slipped my mind. Although I write the news down before filming, I often change the script during filming because I or my boyfriend gets a clever idea…
When I was researching SGTV for Kitkast #1.4, I watched every video-podcast post via direct download from the Suicide Girls site and I read the SGTV press release in order to understand just what the company had in mind for the series. One portion of the press release really stood out for me:
“SuicideGirls is thrilled to offer the first independently produced content for the video iPod. Fans around the globe have embraced our revolutionary take on sexy entertainment and with the development of the new iTunes technology they can listen to their favorite tunes and watch their favorite SuicideGirl videos wherever they are in the world,” stated Missy Suicide, co-founder of SuicideGirls. “We are excited to utilize this new tool that enables us to distribute exclusive content from our site.”
Hmm… sounds like poppycock to me.
Firstly, what does “independently produced” mean? Does that mean that every girl contributed her own funds to make the video-podcast?
Secondly, who is to confirm that this is the first independently produced content made for the new video ipod? The truth is… there are others who have made video-podcasts before SG and their content is already perfectly compatable and ready to download to the video iPod.
Perhaps what they are trying to say is that as soon as they heard about the release of the new video iPod, they decided they should jump on the bandwagon and start making video-podcasts ASAP! After all, they claim that their content is the first independently produced content for the video iPod, but the press release is dated October 19 and Kitkast first started posting content on October 15 (if you don’t count the Kitkast preview!). That’s not to say that Kitkast is the first either, though… Rocketboom (yea) has been making video content suitable for the video iPod for over a year!
Besides, how can I believe that the Suicide Girls video-podcast is “independently produced” when the production quality is so good? Not even Rocketboom has access to the kind of equipment that SGTV utilizes for their podcast! The reason that Kitkast doesn’t have the same clarity of video or audio as SGTV is because it really is independently produced… the money going into it comes out of either my or my darling Zod’s own pocket!
Like I said in Kitkast #1.4, the whole thing is just one big sham to get people to join SuicideGirls.com.

I thought this episode of Kitcast was great! The throwing of the toaster in the tub was over hilarious! I have to admit that porn star wasn’t one of the occupations I saw at my high school 20th reunion.
Please keep the great shows coming

*Snap, snap!*
SG has always been about the marketing. The message? (Ie: indie girl-produced porn?)
In the immortal words of Jon Stewart, “Not. So. Much.”
Go, Kitka! You’ve been in my iTunes since your first show and will stay there.
