Club Review: Downtown (Montreal)
Background
After our horrible experiences at Chez Parée and Château du Sexe last month, Zod and I went hunting to find another strip club with nicer looking girls and good quality lap dances. When asking a bouncer at Wanda’s Gentlemen’s Club to find out where to go for good lap dances, we were referred to Club Downtown on Saint Catherine’s Street.
Girls
The girls at Downtown were a breath of fresh air after our past two strip club adventures in Montreal. The girls were very slim and had mostly natural breasts. Most of the women’s bodies were pretty nice except for one girl who was 13-year-old-crack-whore-skinny and a couple of older women with creepy snatches. I’m starting to rethink ever getting pregnant…
Although most dancers were Caucasian, there was still a flavour for everyone. There were a few black strippers and only one Latina and one Asian. The women were much friendlier at this club (although still nothing like 4Play), but sadly the girl that I was originally hoping to get a lap dance from seemed too heterosexual to do the deed (ahh, the one that got away…).
Stage Dancing
The stage dancing was pretty poor. Most of the girls walked around on stage looking more bored than Paris Hilton and had no dance skills whatsoever.
While watching the stage dancing, Zod and I were approached by a couple of girls (Celeste and Aria). Those two girls later rocked the stage with their awesome skills. While most girls didn’t seem to give much effort to doing a creative stage/pole dance, these two both knew what they were doing. After seeing them dance, I knew exactly who I wanted to choose for a lap dance.
It’s funny because there were a couple of dancers who were looking quite old. One of them had an outfit that made her look like she was straight out of the early 90s and she danced like she was in a Paula Abdul video… I admit, Cold Hearted Snake was a sexy video in the 1990s, but it’s not really what I want to see in a strip club.
Lap Dancing
I bought a lap dance from Aria, a tall, slim girl with long brown hair, librarian glasses, a friendly smile and a sexy-as-fuck wine-coloured corset. We went to the lap dancing area upstairs in the club and stepped into a booth behind a 70s beaded curtain.
Although it’s not my first lap dance, I still feel uncomfortable touching strippers… the only reason, though, is that I would never want to touch them where they are not comfortable and I want to show them the utmost respect. Eventually, after a couple of minutes I finally got the courage to touch her beautiful waist and she gladly led my hand up to her breast. Aria had a beautiful body and I was so intoxicated that I can’t even remember whether she removed her thong or not.
The only thing I would have added to the lap dance was more grinding, but it seems it’s not really allowed in the club. As my regular readers should know by now, I like good friction! (Hell, if you look up “kitka” in a Finnish-to-English dictionary, you’ll see that it means “friction” in English!)
Club Ambiance
When Zod and I walked into the club we were surprised that we hadn’t heard of this place before… this place was packed! We were happy that we got some attention from a few girls; in other clubs recently we had been completely avoided.
The club decor was nothing special, there were two stages (no VIP area) and the club itself was very long. Due to how long the club was, I found that it was very difficult to maneuver through the crowd (which doesn’t make me feel very comfortable as a girl). When I walked up to the bathroom I kept my hands up in a defensive boxing position and at one point I nearly punched a guy who stuck his face in my face as I was walking past (how very high school of him). When I was walking with Aria to go and get my lap dance a waitress bumped her tray into my left breast and a few empty beer bottles went crashing to the ground. It’s a great place, but it has very little space for my C-cup.
The music was standard; they played quite a bit of techno, with a splash of classic rock and a dash of R&B. The clientele of the club seemed to be mostly young men, American tourists and a few couples.
Payment/Pricing
Admission to the club was $5/person (God, I hate it when they charge women admission). Zod then tipped the bouncer another $10 to get us a couple of seats at a table close to the stage.
The price of drinks was pretty standard… a Coke cost $5.75.
Lap dances cost $10/song… I would have purchased another dance from the lovely Aria had I remembered to go to the bank during the day!

I am the best man at my friend’s wedding next month and was put in charge of the bachelor party. As we had such a good time at club downtown last year at my bachelor party, we decided to return.
We made friends with Aria and Celeste and they made us feel very comfortable. They were sweet and very beautifiul and after going there for a couple of nights we all felt like friends. It is far too easy for a bar like that to feel dirty and often walking out leaves you with an insurmountable urge to shower. The personality of the ladies and the friendliness of the waitresses made it fun instead. I will definitely return there.
